Celebrate one of the most incredíble traditions of Mexico at home. The Day of the Dead is a colorful and joyful moment to honor the ones who are not longer with us to celebrate their life. During these festivities, many Mexicans prepare special dishes such as Pan de Muerto.
This bread can be sweet or salty and it comes in many sizes, all depends on the place where it’s prepared. If you haven’t tasted it yet, this is your opportunity because you will learn how to make it.

Dissolve the yeast with warm water or milk; add one-half cup flour and form a small ball of soft dough. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes until twice its size.
Sift the flour with the salt and sugar; forming a little mountaín and pour the eggs including the yolks in the middle; add butter, the orange peel, and orange blossom water. Knead well.
Add the first little dough ball. Knead again and let it rest in a warm place for an hour. Knead again and form loaves of the desired size.
Place the loaves on greased trays, decorate the bread with “tears” or “bones” made from the same dough and stick them with egg , varnish the bread with egg and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake the bread at 375 Fahrenheit degrees for 40 or 50 minutes.
